10 August 2020 – Applied Petroleum Technology (APT) has been awarded a management system certificate that certifies conformity with the management system requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

ISO 9001 is the international standard for a quality management system. The standard is used by organisations to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and to demonstrate continuous improvement.

ISO 14001:2015 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organisation can use to enhance its environmental performance. The ISO 14001 standard is intended for use by an organisation seeking to manage its environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to the environmental pillar of sustainability.

“These ISO certifications are important cornerstones of our business, and in many ways our license to operate as a supplier to energy companies around the world. I would like to thank the entire APT team for their continued contribution to maintaining the highest quality and environmental standards,” says Bent Barman Skaare, HSEQ manager at APT.

The ISO approvals are connected to the delivery of services within development, management and operations for delivery of analyses and interpretation within organic geochemistry as well as micropaleontology and palynology within biostratigraphy.

APT provides geochemical and biostratigraphic laboratory services, basin modelling and petroleum systems analysis to operators worldwide. The company is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and has additional offices in the UK, USA and Canada.
